Pure white petals around a flat, tiny cup rimmed in red - the "pheasant's eye" pattern, one of the oldest daffodils in cultivation and the parent of a great many of the poeticus-group hybrids grown today.
It is the narcissus of the myth, the flower Narcissus turned into at the water's edge, and it is still grown in the south of France for its scent, which goes into perfume.
