A whole stand of it, white ray petals reflexed sharply back from a domed, hollow yellow centre.
The drooping petals and the cone-shaped disc are what separate true chamomile from the many other small white daisies it gets confused with, and the plant behind the tea. Crush the centre and it smells of apples, which is where the name comes from: the Greek for earth-apple.
