Birds

Tits & Chickadees

Small, acrobatic, sociable birds of woodland, forever hanging upside down from a twig. The chickadees are the American branch, the tits the European one, and the titmice sit between them in name if not in geography.

A titmouse lines its nest with hair, and it is not fussy where the hair comes from: birds have been filmed plucking it from sleeping dogs, live raccoons, and the occasional person.

Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
