Parrots
Birds of the tropics, and yet a fixture in several American cities, where flocks descended from escaped cage birds have settled in for good. Brooklyn has its parakeets and southern California its parrots, and neither was ever meant to be there.
Parrots are among the few birds that hold their food in one foot and, like people, most have a preferred side. In most species studied, the majority are left-footed.
