The Moskva at sunset

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on the left, a Kremlin tower and its red star on the right, and the river between them doing all the work.

The cathedral is newer than it looks, a reconstruction finished in 2000. Stalin had the original dynamited in 1931 to clear the site for a Palace of the Soviets that was never built, and the ground spent the next few decades as the largest open-air swimming pool in the world.

Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
