The Mara at dawn

Mist sitting in the valley, and the escarpment behind it - the Oloololo, which forms the western edge of the reserve and the beginning of the Rift wall.

The flat tops on the trees are not decorative. Browsing from giraffe and elephant trims an acacia from below and from the sides until the only growth left is a canopy above the reach of anything standing on the ground.

Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
