The Eiffel Tower at dusk
Paris · 28 December 2017

The Pont des Invalides, with the tower rising behind it just past sunset at the end of December - dusk by five in the afternoon this far north in midwinter.
The bare plane trees are deliberate about the season rather than incidental. The bridge and the tower both read more cleanly without a canopy in the way, which is part of why so many classic views of Paris are winter ones.
Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
