Sake barrels at Meiji Shrine
Tokyo · 5 October 2017

Kazaridaru: decorative barrels donated to the shrine by breweries from across the country and stacked along the approach, each wrapped in straw and carrying its maker's mark.
They are empty. The sake itself is offered separately. These are the wrappers, kept as a standing public record of who has given.
Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
