A cluster of spires pulled close by a long lens, blue haze stacking up in the mountains behind them.
Haze like this over distance is mostly water vapour and dust scattering blue light, the same physics that makes the sky blue applied to air instead of empty space. The further the ridge, the more air, the bluer it goes - which is how the eye reads depth in a landscape with nothing else to measure by.
