Seven in the morning, four days past the solstice, with a nearly full moon and no sign of the sun for another four hours. One farmhouse, a green roof, and a great deal of nothing.
At this latitude in midwinter the moon does most of the lighting, and it barely sets. The same geometry that keeps the sun below the horizon keeps a full moon above it for most of the day.
Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
