Cloud lifting straight off a forested slope after rain: warmed air rising off the canopy and condensing the moment it meets cooler air above.
It is a small-scale version of the process that builds a cumulus cloud, and the reason the Pacific Northwest's forests make their own weather. A big conifer forest breathes out an astonishing amount of water on a warm day, and a good share of it comes straight back down on the same trees.
