Last light on the pinnacles

The last light on the pinnacles, the sky gone from orange to violet-grey while the rock itself still holds its own warmth. Stone releases the day's heat slowly, but the colour here is mostly the red of the rock - iron oxide in the sandstone - picking up what's left of the light and staying lit well after the sky has moved on. A few minutes later it would be a silhouette.

Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
