Two trunks going up together, shot from directly underneath.
The fibrous red-brown bark peeling in vertical strips, and the short awl-shaped leaves held in spirals, point to Japanese cedar, Cryptomeria - the national tree of Japan and the timber of its temples. I am going on bark and silhouette from below, and would want a closer look at the foliage to be sure.
