Fireweed and the range

The magenta is fireweed, which is the first thing back after a burn or a clearance and gives its name to the habit. Beyond it the forest, and beyond that the Tetons, with Mount Moran the broad flat-topped one to the right.
The haze is smoke. August 2021 was a heavy fire season across the West, and the range is barely holding its edges.
Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
