A leaf-lit trail, the Poconos

An old woods road turned hiking trail, walled in by trunks gone nearly black against a canopy holding its gold - enough leaf still on the branches to keep the light coming through amber rather than grey. Roads like this are all over the Poconos, cut for logging in the nineteenth century when the plateau was stripped bare for timber and tanbark; almost every tree in the frame has grown since.
Birds, insects, plants and other wildlife, mostly from Brooklyn, with some from further afield.
