Rough local stone under a low, red-tiled roof, pale blue-green shutters standing out against it.
The colour is common enough across south-western France to be almost a regional signature, traditionally said to repel insects as much as to look good against the stone. The story is that the paint was made with the leftover copper sulphate from spraying the vines, which is why the shutters are the same blue-green as the Bordeaux mixture on the leaves.
